Demetrius Wheeler, known as Comedian Meech Dog, is originally from Louisville, KY, and has been a Stand- Up Comedian for over 20 years. Raised by a funny single mother and his grandmother, he learned at an early age the importance of laughter and love. After graduating from Morehead State University in Morehead, KY, Meech Dog began his career as a teacher. Although he enjoyed working with children, his passion was making people laugh and he was encouraged by friends to pursue comedy. Meech Dog moved to Florida and became a regular host at the Tampa Improv Comedy Club for several years. Since then, Meech Dog has toured nationally and internationally, performing at nightclubs, prisons, comedy clubs, and cruise ships. He has opened for old and new school comedians such as Cedric the Entertainer, Paul Mooney, Earthquake, Michael Colyar, Bubba Dub, Ms. Shirleen, Kerwin Claiborne, and many more well-known comedians. His upbeat, hilarious, charismatic comedy will have you wanting more!
